Music
Friendship

Chiltern Chamber Choir is a lively and welcoming group of around 50 singers.  Founded in 1976 by Adrian Davis, we combine a strong musical tradition with an open, friendly atmosphere and a love of great music.

Music is an important part of our lives. We believe that singing is not only good for the mind but also our physical well-being; it is, moreover, a social activity. We look forward to our rehearsals, post concert parties, concert trips abroad including partners and even, for instance, the annual May Day madrigals sung from the top of the tower of St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted at 6:30 in the morning!

See our Facebook page for more details.

Our Repertoire

Recent concerts have included Mozart and Brahms Requiems and Hadel’s Messiah and Dixit Dominus, which we performed with professional soloists and musicians.

The choir has also performed a range of more contemporary works including pieces by Britten, Chilcott and MacMillan, as well as some opera choruses.

Our Musical Director

Calum has been Musical Director since 2023.  He is an experienced choir trainer, with a Masters in Choral Conducting from King’s College, Cambridge.

He brings energy, clarity and musical insight to rehearsals and performances.
